Yes, that’s right, I said Formica! Let’s face it, for every project there is a budget and for every budget there is a product. But much more than that there are times when a laminate surface may not only extend the budget, but be a better fit than a quartz or natural stone countertop. Recently, I helped design a chiropractic office and the staff requested a warmer, more forgiving surface for the desktops areas - a Formica laminate fit the bill perfectly!
Formica and other laminate manufacturers have stepped up their game AND their product offerings. Kitchens and bathrooms are not the only areas where laminates can fit the bill – most recently monolith wall panels have become the trend for bringing the look of texture surfaces to an entire wall area. Often times it is challenging to find suppliers who can fabricate and install quartz monolith slabs – this is where Formica surfaces can come to the rescue in both budget and ease of installation.
So perhaps it’s time to take a closer look at Formica!
