SIMPLE HUMAN – Rechargeable Sensor Pump

In my opinion this design gets top marks – right up there with whoever decided it was a great idea to put wheels on a suitcase!

KITCHEN

In the past it was always a struggle when designing a Kitchen – what about the soap dispenser? Granted the undercounter models have come a long way and finally given us refill access from above. But my Product Pick this week goes out to Simple Human for their line of sensor pumps. I started with the battery operated model a couple years back in my own kitchen and immediately fell in love with the convenience of a sleek, clean soap dispenser that doesn’t get all gunked up and is a one-handed operation!

BATHROOM

We’ve all experienced the pitfalls of the decorative soap dispensers on top of our beautiful vanities. In the past there seemed to be functional pump issues no matter how expensive the dispenser. Plus it seemed like the liquid hand soap I used would inevitably deteriorate the “metal” parts. The final straw was when I purchased not one, but two matching soap dispensers for a master bath only to find one keep breaking.

So it was then that I had a little epiphany while doing dishes one day, enjoying my Simple Human Sensor Pump – carelessly dispensing just the right amount of liquid soap. Why wasn’t I using this in my bathroom, too? To my pleasant surprise I found a smaller, sleeker new model that is rechargeable – (I still prefer the design of the battery operated option for my kitchen).

I have added the Simple Human Sensor Pump to my go-to products for my kitchen AND now Bath designs. Admittedly it’s a little splurge to get two for my own master bath – that’s why I chose the model that doesn’t require you to use their own brand of soap. And after 2 years the one I have in my kitchen is still working great, even if I do use another brand of liquid soap.

See – I keep telling my husband, John – it REALLY is the little things that make me happy!
