Carrie’s Top Picks for the Latest Christmas Décor

I’m sure you are being inundated with holiday catalogs just like me – ‘tis the season. So I thought I would save you some time and show you a few of the worthwhile options in today’s holiday décor marketplace. And although most of us are really not in the market for “new” Christmas decorations, there are a few items that I think are great additions to make this season even more festive!

Many of these items can be found on multiple vendors and website – so shop early as the best bets will be out of stock before we know it!

New Tree Skirt Options: Tree skirts have always been a challenge. Either they look really cheesy (yes, I still use that word) or they don’t stay in place. This woven option is a great neutral style, but they are also out there in a few other more structured formats.

Flameless Candles: Having a 115-year old home makes me more cautious than most on the use of real candles, so I am always in search of realistic looking flameless candles. By far the best bet I have found is from Pottery Barn. They are a little more expensive but definitely worth the extra money! (PS Opt for the simple ivory version – love these!)

Faux Wreaths: I have several holiday wreaths that I have used year after year, but even mine needs a refresh or replacement every few years. This year my wreath pick goes to Magnolia Market’s Grace Pine Wreath. This simple design faux pine needles and cones stand on its own or can be embellished for a little more drama. It works great as a centerpiece, too!

Garland Ties: When it comes to decorating for the holidays I am ALL about making the task easier! So these wired garland ties are a simple and attractive way to connect anything! Grandin Road has these in red, gold and green to fit any décor!

It seems like every year the holiday season starts earlier and earlier. And like many shoppers, I try to avoid the craziness until it’s totally necessary to take the big dive. Whatever you are ready to start your decorating, take the time to focus on family and home, and put your feet up and enjoy the “most wonderful time of the year!”
